Using advanced modeling, data analysis, and mapping approaches, the team identified areas particularly vulnerable to extreme heat, including <strong>Peristeri, Metaxourgeio, and Elaionas<\/strong>, and explored <strong>Nature-based Solutions (NbS)<\/strong> tailored to the characteristics and needs of each area.<\/p>\n<p>The analysis highlights the severity of extreme heat in Athens, including recorded air temperatures of up to <strong>47.8\u00b0C<\/strong>, perceived temperatures reaching approximately <strong>67\u00b0C<\/strong>, and persistent nighttime overheating along major urban corridors.
