APCG was awarded 1st Prize (\u20ac3,000)<\/strong> at the Bank of Greece Datathon 2025<\/strong> for the development of an innovative web-based platform that evaluates properties through a combination of open environmental, socioeconomic, and building-related data.<\/p>\n

The project, developed by Thanasis Koukoulis<\/strong> and Pelagia Koutsantoni<\/strong>, integrates information on building characteristics, socioeconomic and environmental indicators, air quality, and proximity to essential services and amenities, including parks, schools, and public transport.<\/p>\n

The platform draws on datasets from Copernicus, OpenStreetMap, air-quality.gr, and the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT)<\/strong>, demonstrating the potential of open data to support informed, data-driven decisions and contribute to healthier and more sustainable urban environments.<\/p>\n
