The\u00a05th General Assembly of the CiROCCO EU Project<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0took place in Athens on 2\u20133 June, bringing together project partners to review progress and coordinate the final phase of the project.<\/p>\n

CiROCCO focuses on the\u00a0environmental monitoring of under-sampled desert areas<\/strong>, combining\u00a0in-situ sensor measurements and Earth Observation data<\/strong>\u00a0to improve the understanding and monitoring of desert dust storm events.<\/p>\n

Representing the\u00a0Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry Group (APCG)<\/strong>\u00a0of the National Observatory of Athens,\u00a0Georgios Grivas, Eleni Athanasopoulou, Panagiotis Kosmopoulos, Charalampos Chatzidiakos, Maria Kimourtzi and Thanasis Koukoulis <\/strong>participated in the meeting and contributed to discussions on the remaining project activities.<\/p>\n
